There are many ways to save money by using phone cards. In fact phone card is the only tool which enables the caller to save about 50% to 80% on his telephone bills. Then how to save money on these cards? Here are some suggestions.The basic approach of the caller should be to select the appropriate calling plan. It is always advantageous to buy the card online than buying it from retail shops. The reason for this being a retailer will have cards of only few of the calling companies. But online buyer will know that the list of calling companies is almost unlimited. So, the caller will have wide range of choice to choose from. The caller should pick up some of the reputed calling company and collect information on per minute calling rate. Normally calling companies will offer some discounts also. The caller has to note down the discount.
After short listing the most probable calling companies, the caller should ascertain the quality of connectivity of the companies short listed. He must also ensure that the company has multilingual helpline which can be accessed 24/7.
Normally, while choosing the calling plan, every caller will have a tendency to choose a plan which is quoted lowest in the calling plan. But, before selecting the plan, one should not be guided by the principle ‘lowest is the best’. This is because there is every chance that such plan may have some hidden cost and the calling plan may not be the cheapest. So, carefully read the terms and conditions of the calling plan before buying the card.
